As we close out 2023 and begin 2024, we are so excited to see how God used Sylvan Hills Christian Service Camp for His glory!
This summer the Children’s Lodge was completed, thanks largely to the leadership of Bob Fishburn and the Building Committee. By the grace of God, the Lodge was ready one day before the start of the camp season! In 2023, we witnessed God’s hand in expanding Sylvan Hills and preparing the next generation of Christians. Over 300 campers walked our hills with Jesus and grew in their relationship with Him. Through prayer, fellowship, and engaging activities led by our amazing volunteer staff, our campers profoundly experienced Christ’s love. The Holy Spirit was changing, challenging, and strengthening the hearts of our children and it was a joy to witness.
God continues to provide us with many ministry opportunities to make an impact for the Kingdom. We were so blessed with the opportunity to work with David and Dawn Sowers and appreciated their year with us and their ministry to Sylvan Hills. We were sad to see them go, but we know God will use them to bring more people to Christ and bring glory to His name.
The completion of the lodge has provided an avenue for Sylvan Hills to be a beacon for Christ not only to our churches but also to our surrounding community. As we continue to bring children to Jesus during the summer camp season, we now have the opportunity to impact others through the use of our facilities year-round. We are so excited to see how God will use our camp. The need for a place of spiritual retreat and growth is more critical than ever in our fast-paced and ever-changing world.
