Dear Friends of Sylvan Hills,
God’s Spirit is on the move in America and it is amazing to see! A revival in Tennessee that has spanned at least twenty weeks which has resulted in over 600 people giving their lives to Christ, a revival in Georgia since the beginning of this year that has seen over 500 baptisms, a military base in Missouri where over 2,000 soldiers have surrendered to Christ, a weekend in California where 10,000 people gave their lives to Christ! The fires of God are spreading throughout our country!
God’s Spirit is indeed on the move and I had the honor of seeing His Spirit move this summer at Sylvan Hills Christian Service Camp. I attended the intermediate week of camp, and, in spite of the fact that it rained every day but one (!), we had a wonderful time! Through many years of youth ministry, I have never seen a youth week more full of the Spirit and more far reaching in its impact. Throughout the week, teens were opening the Scriptures, engaging in prayer, asking questions about what it means to be a disciple, growing in their experience of Christ, all while having a great time. God was very much moving and five students made a decision for baptism during intermediate week! Altogether, for Summer 2018, 289 campers along with numerous staff and volunteers experienced the joy of Sylvan Hills, with 6 total decisions being made for baptisms.
You have been faithful to Sylvan Hills throughout the years and we just celebrated our seventieth anniversary, countless lives being changed throughout these years of ministry. God has blessed us richly through Sylvan Hills and we look forward to many more years of fruitful ministry. While prayer is the most important gift you could give us, would you consider a financial gift to Sylvan Hills? Would you consider partnering with us as we partner with God in seeing His Kingdom come upon earth as it is in heaven? We are promised that if we are faithful with what we have been given, more will be entrusted to us. God had entrusted us with impacting the lives of the next generation…there is no better investment!
In faith, love & peace,
